The gap we fill

Between the £15 worksheet centre and the faceless franchise

Most 11+ provision in this area falls into two camps. The value centres pack twenty-plus children into a room and email you a worksheet. The national franchises hide their prices, rotate their tutors and treat your child as a seat. We built the option that should exist in the middle.

Value centres

Cheap, but crowded

  • 20+ children per room
  • Worksheet-and-mark, little teaching
  • No visibility on real progress
Bloom Academy
Our place

Credibility-led, genuinely small-group

  • Maximum of 6 children, taught by the founders
  • Prices, class sizes and exam dates published in the open
  • A progress dashboard you can read at any time
National franchises

Polished, but opaque

  • Prices hidden until you enquire
  • Rotating, often-untested tutors
  • Your child is a number on a register
Who teaches your child

Founded by Araliya, a Haberdashers' Aske's School for Girls alumna, and Disal, a Chigwell School 90% academic-scholarship winner.

Our founders know academically selective education from the inside — not as a marketing line, but as their own school experience. They went on to finance careers — reinsurance at Aon in the City and finance in Mayfair — where rigour, clarity and honest reporting are the job. The same standards now sit behind every class, every diagnostic and every dashboard.

Programmes

Four tracks, one standard

From early groundwork to the flagship Year 5 course and premium independent-school preparation — each programme is small, structured and priced in the open.

Years 3–4Max 8

Foundations

1 × 1.5 hr / week

Builds reading age, vocabulary, mental-maths fluency and gentle reasoning. No exam papers — the groundwork that makes Year 5 work.

Year 5Max 6

Intensive 11+

2 × 1.5 hr / week

The flagship. Full GL coverage across all four strands, type-by-type reasoning drilling and timed mocks. Streamed into Core (B1) and Higher (B2) by diagnostic.

Years 5–6Max 6

Essex CSSE add-on

1 × 1.5 hr / week

For families hedging towards Chelmsford, Colchester and Southend grammars — the written, creative-writing format GL multiple-choice prep does not cover.

Years 4–6Max 4

Independents & Scholarship

2 × 1.5 hr / week

Premium track for Chigwell, Forest, Bancroft's and scholarship routes — fronted by our Habs founder, who knows the independent process from the inside.

How it works

Three honest steps before you commit

No hard sell. We assess first, talk to you openly, and only then recommend a place — if it's genuinely the right fit.

1

Book a mock

A full GL-format mock under timed conditions gives us a clean baseline across all four strands — and shows your child what the real day feels like.

2

Free diagnostic call

We talk you through the results strand by strand, set realistic expectations against your catchment, and tell you honestly whether grammar, CSSE or independents is the right target.

3

Enrol

If a place is right, you join a small group with a clear plan — and from day one you can follow progress on the parent dashboard.

The differentiator

Progress you can actually see

Most centres ask you to take their word for it. We show you. Every parent gets a live dashboard that turns each termly re-test into something you can read at a glance.

  • Per-strand benchmark bands over time — English, Verbal Reasoning, Maths and Non-Verbal — plotted against the 104 floor and the 115–125 offer zone.
  • Attendance and homework completion tracked alongside results, so you see the whole picture, not a single score.
  • A Progress Guarantee: meet the attendance and homework criteria and, if the bands don't move as they should, we put it right with extra small-group catch-up.
Time-sensitive

The Redbridge test sits in early September — so the prep deadline is the end of Year 5.

Ilford County High (boys) and Woodford County High (girls) test in the first weeks of Year 6, on Friday 18 September 2026 for Year 7 entry in September 2027. There is no meaningful preparation time once Year 6 starts — which means the real work has to be done by the end of Year 5. Families who start in Year 5 give themselves the runway to move bands; those who wait rarely catch up.

Out of catchment? Both Redbridge grammars enforce strict catchment, so we'll openly steer you towards Essex CSSE grammars or independents like Chigwell, Forest and Bancroft's instead.

No spin

A new centre — so we earn trust by publishing, not boasting

We won't show you invented five-star quotes. As our first cohorts finish, verified and consented results and reviews will appear on our results page — initials only, never full names.
